Easy gardens that don’t lose the pot

Table of Contents

Good things can come in threes and that includes instant garden glory.

Ever noticed in homeware shops, nurseries or magazines featuring the latest styling tips that in a corner you’ll see a colourful cluster of three potted plants?

Not only does it look stylish but having indoor plants is good for your health. Plants can clean indoor air by absorbing toxins, increasing humidity and producing oxygen.

In fact, studies have shown that indoor plants have been linked to an increase in productivity, concentration and creativity as well as boosting your overall mood.

And when we are happy, we feel less stressed or fatigued.

Bring the garden indoors

When out looking for the ideal pots and plants to suit your place, you’ll be spoilt for choice. From size, type, colour, shape and texture… and that’s just the pots!

For a sophisticated look, select pots from the same range, just different sizes, then mix up the size and shapes of the indoor plants.

Balcony gardens

When space is an issue, there’s an entire range of suitably shaped and sized pots as well as plants to suit your space and conditions.

When selecting pots, look for tall, slim ones or narrow planter boxes so they don’t overpower your outdoor space.

For a stylish, elegant look in a refined space select plants that grow up, not out. Ask for assistance at the nursery for options that suit your balcony or courtyard size.

Be sure to mention the weather conditions, if it’s windy on your balcony or it’s sheltered with limited sun, that will have a say in which plants are best suited.

Back to Nature

It would be remiss to underestimate the power of nature. That feeling when you walk through a park and take the time to notice the beautiful gardens and admire the established trees.

It’s calming, right? So why not bring a little bit of nature into your home to enjoy. Plants add colour and can improve our indoor air quality.

But don’t just display them indoors. Plants outside on the balcony or in the courtyard is great for the environment too.
